Ok, woke up this morning, had some errands to run, so no riding – bummer! Had to get the truck tires checked out – yes, they’re new, but I had a question about the valve cores that had been used. Turns out new ones are flexible, so all is ok. I just remembered on the old truck, they were all metal, and not replaced when you replaced tires. I guess they figured out a way to make them easily replaceable and last less so they have something else to tack on to your bill when you replace your tires. I seriously doubt they are REALLY an improvement over the older style – my original valve stems are still on my 1992 Dodge, and they still work fine. Will these last 20 years? I feel I can safely say – no way!
Mid-afternoon, we head to Denver, to pick up the third part of our party – my cousin Adrian. Plane is a bit late, but he arrives ok, and we head back to Fort Collins, to have dinner before hitting the sack. Ate at Austin’s Grill – good food, and not too terribly pricy. The three of us got out of there for under $60. Before tip, of course, but still a good deal. And the food was good, and certainly enough for us.
Back to the pop-up, and off to sleep!
